Me describiría a mi mismo como
Descended from Mississippi band Chahta, Chiksa', African. Easy-going, friendly and humorous.I believe in romance and love but not the Hollywood version of it. I believe in treating all people with respect and want to be treated the same in return. I don't like drama, rudeness,selfishness or low values or low morals. I'm not into playing games and am not looking for casual relationships or hook-ups. I'm easy going with a good sense of humor. I can take teasing and joking; I love a good laugh and I'm not easily offended. I don't believe in taking life so serious that you can't take time to enjoy it. I enjoy being around people who are happy and comfortable with who they are.
MY INTERESTS: Keeping fit. Nature and animals. I love to read (I read a lot) and travel, although it's been a while since I took a trip somewhere. I've had the opportunity visit Malaysia, Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago, Hawaii, Guam. There are other places I would like to see especially Spain, Portugal and Thailand. But there are also a lot of things to see here in our own backyard so I love road trips. I like live theater and Jazz concerts and comedy clubs.
I'm an artistic person; I enjoy writing fiction; it has always been what I enjoyed most, but I let other things get in the way. And I also like drawing and illustration and crafts. I was a computer programmer and software analyst for a long time. Now I'm interested in the artistic uses of computers, so I am learning about computer animation. I also want to learn the saxophone. My brother tried to teach me but I didn't stick with it.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: A sweet, honest woman, with a good heart who respects herself and expects to be respected by others, who believes that a couple should be best friends before anything else. Someone happy, funny, who wants a real, committed relationship. No drama or leftover issues from a previous relationship. No moodiness or emotional issues. I love children, especially babies, so if you're a woman who wants kids, I'm fine with that. (I have a 16 year-old stepdaughter in the Philippines, but no biological children)
I'm not a snob when it comes to education. I don't think that I'm better than anyone else because I have a college degree. As long as you're able to communicate and have an interest in what's going on around you and can have a good conversation that's fine. I would like someone who likes to read like I do and has similar interests in the arts. I'm healthy and fit so I'd like someone who cares about their health and how they look. You don't have to look like a fashion model. I like a shapely figure but you have to have something above your neck inside your mind too. Just be honest about what you look like. I do have a strong attraction to short women, but it's not a deal breaker. I'm not attracted to fat women so if you fit into that category don't waste you time or mine ( I'm just being honest not mean-spirited---some women don't seem to know what average, athletic and toned, slender or "curvy" means).
I don't have a problem with distance. The person you connect with might not necessarily be close to home, and I like to travel.
